All that we see or seem
Is but a dream within a dream.
I recently did an exciting collaboration with my friend Versace for her photography assignment revolving around black and white themes. As usual, she is an incredibly talented and perfectionist photographer who constantly focuses on the subtlety of angles. Taking up to 20 separate shots for a single pose is just the tip of the perfectionist iceberg. This project comes in 2 parts; Part 1 features a white dream-like world of a painter who sits, paints and ponders the different realities of the world she exists in and the world she paints. I love airy fairy fantasy worlds, so editing and taking these shots were a real dream! We initially ran into problems securing permission for the location and on deciding which artworks were to be featured, but here is a huge, sincere thank you to all the students who graciously offered up their paintings as a beautiful backdrop for this shoot. You are all such kind, talented souls, and your paintings were so amazing, I was honestly in constant awe admiring them as I walked around the studio space.
Do stay tuned for the black bewitching world in Painter Part II.
